Job Description

Our client based in Nottingham is currently looking to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join their busy and vibrant team.This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that has seen exponential growth over the last 3 years. The role offersexcellent progression potential and training along with a sociable and friendly working environment.To be considered for the role, youll require the following essentials:

  • Accounts payable experience or working within an accounts payable environment, at least 1 year
  • Strong IT Skills, specifically Intermediate Level of MS Excel
  • Sound decision making
  • Experience working within a fast paced Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger team
  • Excellent communication skills
Within this position, youll also be:
  • Day to day maintenance of the purchase ledger
  • Checking all purchase invoices & credit notes are correct, ensuring that any disprecancies are resolved in a timely manner
  • Posting purchase invoices and credit notes onto the accounting system, ensuring correct nominal ledger coding
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Allocating payments against invoices
  • Setting up new suppliers and obtaining bank details
  • Dealing with purchase ledger queries efficiently via telephone or email
  • Chasing credit notes and refunds for overpayments
  • Assisting with posting bank transactions onto the finance system
  • Assisting with Debit Balance process ensuring all invoices are received relating to direct debits
  • Adhering to month end timescales and procedures
  • General clerical work as requested
  • Completing any filing or archiving
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal & external contracts
