  • Provide compassionate and respectful personal care and assistance to residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Support the Senior Care Team Leader and care staff in delivering high-quality care services in accordance with individual care plans and regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior care staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure the delivery of person-centered care that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and review of care plans, documenting residents progress and any changes in their health or care requirements.
  • Administer medication to residents as prescribed, ensuring compliance with medication management policies and procedures.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, promoting a warm and inclusive environment that respects each individuals dignity, privacy, and autonomy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, including resident charts, documentation of interventions, and incident reports.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews, contributing to the continuous improvement of care standards and practices.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a care home or healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of elderly care principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Leadership and supervisory abilities, with the capacity to delegate tasks effectively and lead by example.
