Job Description

Our client is a leading Housing Association. They require 4 months temporary cover for holidays and sickness to cover in Norwich, Lowestoft and Mildenhall.

  • Travel time and mileage is paid for.
  • £12.34 an hour
  • Office hours but can consider part time
Key objectives of role:
  1. To provide a frontline housing service to customers living in our sheltered homes. Including supporting tenants to maintain their tenancy, dealing with frontline customer queries and act as an advocate to help access to support services.
  2. Working with the compliance and H&S teams to ensure the schemes comply with health & safety legislation and other regulatory obligations. Assessing risk and putting in place relevant control measures.
  3. Provide scheme cover at other sheltered schemes when required.
  4. Provide a high quality of customer service and contribute to continuous improvement within the organisation by achieving set objectives.
Main responsibilities:
  1. To welcome customers into their new home, hold tenants meetings and maintain positive relationships with our customers and their support networks.
  2. To monitor and respond to emergency alarm activations and welfare concerns, utilising our assistive technology services.
  3. To allocate our empty properties including advertising, shortlisting, conducting viewings and working closely with our voids team.
  4. Carry out routine inspections of your allocated housing schemes, checking fixtures, fittings and furniture for safety issues, reporting health and safety concerns, communal repairs and fly tips.
  5. Attend case conferences and meetings when required.
  6. Assist customers with obtaining meter readings where access is restricted to service cupboards.
  7. Maintain accurate and efficient notes on housing systems.
  8. Undertake annual independence plans, person centred fire risk assessments and maintain an emergency evacuation plan.
  9. Take personal responsibility for own Health, Safety and Welfare and that of colleagues in the workplace.
  10. Take personal responsibility for seeking value for money opportunities to get service right first time.
