Job Description

Quality Assistant/ Permanent/ Norwich- salary up to £28K On behalf of our client, global leader of packaging, providing solutions to some of the worlds most recognizable brands, we are looking for an experienced Quality Assistant to join their manufacturing site based in Norwich.Quality Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Leasing with all personnel to ensure Procedures and systems are being adhered to.
  • Liaise with Customers
  • Undertake internal audits of the system to ensure compliance to ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, and ISO 45001.
  • Assist the Quality Manager to lead and mentor a group of Auditees to ensure continuous improvement and drive in standard procedural practice, undertaking regular practice audits to gather benchmark information with which to measure improvements.
  • Provide support for line engineers in maintaining product to company quality standards.
  • Monitor items requiring external calibration and raise requisitions for service contracts.
Required Experience
  • Trained ISO Internal Auditor
  • Qualified Training for Trainers desirable
  • Understanding of SPC
  • Conversant with systems such as SAP, Visio and Minitab
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft programmes, particularly Excel & Word
  • A working understanding of the principles and tools of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Possess experience and understanding of working to ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
