Job Description

Project Management Development Lead - circa £60,000 for Norwich or Perth locations Here at Aviva, we are on the search for a highly commercial Senior Project Manager (PM), who has prior experience working within a business change environment, and who now wants to focus on capability planning and staff development in their next role. Therefore,we want to engage with PM individuals who have excellent change management experience matched with prior knowledge of developing the skills and capabilities of project and product teams, to ensure transformation success and high staff performance.A bit about the job: You will work with Aviva PMs and product owners to identify skills gaps and development opportunities, and then devise & roll out learning solutions to ensure the right skills and the behaviours are enabled.You will liaise regularly with our Aviva Talent & Capability team, as well as Transformation Leads, to define what great looks like, and then build the plans and programmes for their teams. This will result in both online, F2F and virtual training & developmentprogrammes - you will help decide on the content, interventions, events and tools needed, and also evaluate their outcomes and make improvements for further interventions.Aviva introduced "smart-working" in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from our Norwich or Perth officesSkills and experience were looking for:

  • Extensive experience undertaking a Senior Project Management role, with prior knowledge of training, coaching and mentoring PMs and product owners, as well as working within a regulatory industry (ideally Financial Services)
  • Background in managing and delivering change with a deep understanding of what it takes to be a great change delivery leader
  • Strong prioritisation and organisational skills i.e., ability to delivery at pace, within a commercial, business change environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and flex style to different employees, across multiple levels of seniority
  • Experience in capability benchmarking and development planning
