They have a new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong backgroundor interest in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement to join their team.A Bachelors degree in Mechanical, manufacturingor engineering subject or equivalent is desirable along with previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.The successful candidatewill havedemonstratable root cause analysis and problem solving skills with a logical and systematic approach. Lean manufacturing/six sigma qualifications are desirableApplicants witheither Manufacturing Engineering experience orcandidateswith relevant mechanical, manufacturing or engineering qualifications who would be interested to develop into this role can be considered.As well as a competitive salary the company offer an excellent benefits package to include an annual profit share schemeKey Performance Indicators Item set-up timeliness and accuracy Continuous Improvement Performance and 5S audit scores Improvement Close-out BOM accuracy Planning efficiency (set-up and run time improvements)Key Accountabilities Generation and control of Standard Operating Procedures for all key products and processes Timely and accurate Item and BOM set-up on E1 for all global sites Analysis of planning to optimise for efficient running Identification and close-out of manufacturing improvement projects Assist the planning and purchasing team with BOM structure and management to allow accurate manufacturing cost analysis Implementation of Lean Manufacturing Practices Label shape and die design Production Problem SolvingKey Duties and Responsibilities Participate in the new label shape set-up process to ensure changes are prioritised and planned Work with global sites, CTS and Laminate Supply Chain team to set-up new label SKUs and BOMs on E1 Work with the Manufacturing Support Engineer to learn and support the label shape and die design process and act as a back-up to the Manufacturing Support Engineer Contribute to the investigation and resolution of problems raised through the companys CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) system Support third party certification activities to recognised standards such as BRC Global Standard, Packaging and Packaging Materials and ISO 9001
