Role – Maintenance Manager positionLocation – Based close to Thetford, NorfolkWorking hours – Monday to Friday - Full time hours.Salary – £30,000 - £40,000 per annum – depending on experience Capacity of role – Permanent positionOur client is a reputable and forward thinking business who is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join their team.This is a pivotal role where applicants will be improving facilities, reducing the possibility of breakdowns and developing strategies to improve reliability and safety of the plant. Main duties will include -• Ensuring that the engineering team works safely and complies with site requirements and compliance• Organising planned preventative maintenance across a variety of machinery and production equipment to maximise machinery up time and minimise disruption to production targets.• Ensuring all plant and equipment adheres to relevant legislation in order that a safe working environment is maintained.• Fault finding, pro-active maintenance and continuous improvement processes• Ensuring emergency maintenance in the event of equipment breakdown.• Managing the team efficiently to ensure all electrical/mechanical engineering work is completed in a safe manner.• Establishing maintenance policies and procedures.• Maintaining a record of preventative and emergency maintenance carried out.• Ability to understand business needs, working to a defined schedule and where necessary prioritise own work accordingly.• Providing and maintaining an excellent level of service to the business.Candidate Attributes• A time served multi-skilled engineer, with a proven track record.• Mechanical/electrical fault finding with regards to maintenance and breakdowns.• Background working in a manufacturing and farms environment.• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.• Good communication skills.• Flexible approach to work.• Strong ability to work cross functionally. • Have experience of working with automated production lines, packaging machinery and conveyors.• Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a small team.Skills:Maintenance, PPM, Electrical, Mechanical, Plant equipment, CI, Multi skilled engineer, Own transport, Flexible to working hours as and when requiredQualifications:Electrical and Mechanical based qualification, Driving licence Keywords:Maintenance, PPM, Electrical, Mechanical, Plant equipment, CI, Multi skilled engineer, Own transport, Flexible to working hours as and when required
