Job Description

Rthirteen are currently supporting the search for a Logistics & Customs Planner to join a fantastic business in Norwich.The purpose of this role will be to ensure products are arriving on time, meeting quality standards and are within cost parameters. Yourrole is integral to support the company’s growth and profitability.This is a full-time, permanent role, working to Monday to Friday, and offering a salary of £29,000 + OTE (up to £5k).The companyThis thriving FMCG business, grown from family-run roots, is passionate about doing good and making a difference, whether that be for their employees, within the community or for the environment. They are guided by their strong ethos working responsiblyto achieve operational excellence and to innovate within their industry.Duties to include:

  • Weekly planning of transport requirementsensuring this is inline with cost requirements.
  • Effectively handling any queries/problems that arise.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with third party logistics suppliers/transports companies.
  • Ensuring optimum service levels are achieved & advising on any problems that can impact any inbound loads.
  • Maintaining database of prices, haulier loads, monthly pallets, thermograph requests.
  • Providing updates to management on logistics performance & devising insights that can drive growth.
You will have/be:
  • Experience of working in Supply Chain, Logistics or Procurement.
  • A demonstrable knowledge of import compliance requirements.
  • An ability to engage and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • Proficient in practical problem solving.
  • The ability to multitask and to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment.
