Job Description

I am delighted to present you with an exciting opportunity for one of my clients based in Norwich who are looking to appoint an IT EngineerThis role offers Hybrid working4 days in the office and 1 day at homeYou will be responsible for assisting the IT Services Manager in the effective development, operation and security of the sites IT services and infrastructure as well as the services and infrastructures of their individual sitesYour Key duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the IT Services Manager to develop and implementpolicies and procedures for the use of IT
  • Be responsible for the effective operation and management of the IT services and networks
  • Responsible for effective server and network management across all sites.
  • Responsible for ensuring robust system and data back-up procedures are in place and are tested regularly.
  • Responsible for the integrity and security of all IT systems.
  • Be a source of expertise in relation to developments in the field of IT and legislation.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of all support requests and effectively prioritise according to need.

  • Oversee and manage purchasing of IT equipment, software and services within the team and for other departments.
Your skills and Experience will include:
  • IT support experience in a Microsoft environment.
  • Practical experience in supporting network operating systems, equipment, cabling, and infrastructure products as well as a proven technical background in desktop computers and peripherals.
  • Enthusiasm for the deeper technologies needed to successfully run a trust-wide WAN.
  • Desktop servicesoffice 365
  • TCP/IP Experience
  • SCCM Experience
  • Active Directory Experience
  • HP/ Arubanice to have
  • We use Azure on premises- any experience with cloud would be desired
