Job Description

Infrastructure EngineerNorwich/HybridUp to £50,000I`m currently recruiting an Infrastructure Engineer for a Global Organisation with offices in Norwich. The organisationoffers solutions to address the return, refurbishment, repair and remarketing of technology products. They allow organisationsto maximisethe life of technology products through a suite of environmentallyresponsibly solutions.This positions sits within the UK IT Team, which is a key business partner delivering solutions and services that leverage operation efficiencyand sustain long term mutually profitable customer relationships.The OpportunityAs the Infrastructure Engineer you will be providing services including design, documentation, build, test, implementation and support within agreed scope and timelines of the organisationsand it`s customers. You will be accountable for infrastructureproject delivery as well as Infrastructuresupport inside SLA.Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the design of the infrastructure roadmap, aligned to corporate strategy and policies.
  • Management of own workload, working across several infrastructure refresh, migration and implementation projects.
  • Providing 2nd and 3rd Line support and being the technical escalation point for all incidents relating to the infrastructure.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders around the business and communicating effectively and regularly with the same.
  • Understand the business operations , functions and how the various infrastructure components support it.
  • Documentation and general knowledge transfer to others in the teams through documentation and shadow sessions
You will have experience/ knowledge in:
  • Microsoft: Windows server operating systems (Windows 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019), Active Directory, Exchange & Group Policy, WSUS, IIS (Bindings, Certificate & Configuration), Bitlocker
  • Virtualisation: Hyper V, VMware, vSphere, Hosts & Cluster management,
  • Storage: Iscsi, Fibre, LUN/Raid management
  • Networking: Switch & router configuration management, Fibre, Cisco,FortiGate ,DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing, Radius, Wireless
  • Backup Technologies (VEEAM), Process and Strategies
  • Successful track record in infrastructure implementations and operations
  • At least 5 years experience in IT, 2 years in infrastructure
