Job Description

An rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a proficient HR Manager to join our esteemed client, a leader in the logistics and transportation sector based in Norwich. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the management of operational staff, encompassingboth Human Resources and Health & Safety responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:Operational Staff Management:

  • Lead recruitment, selection, and training processes, aiming for high staff retention.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs tailored for operational staff.
  • Engage staff through various communication methods, fostering a strong team environment.
  • Conduct comprehensive probationary reviews.
  • Conduct disciplinary investigations in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Play a key role in the senior management team, contributing to daily operational decisions.
  • Innovate and expand training services, focusing on market growth and development.
Health & Safety and Compliance:
  • Oversee and manage workplace incidents, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure strict compliance with employment contracts, handbooks, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Manage the distribution and maintenance of uniforms and equipment.
  • Ensure visibility of risk assessments, reviewing regularly
  • Uphold a positive company presence across social media platforms.
  • Define and implement advanced Health & Safety, First Aid, and Fire Safety processes.
As a HR Manager, you will be able to demonstrate a solid background within people management and HR practices, strong leadership and proficiency in training implementation. You will need to come from a Transport or Logistics background and have a good understandingof industry complianceThis role will allow you to demonstrate your excellent organisational and time management skills, leadership qualities and team collaboration.
