Job Description

An award winning and well-established software provider in Norwich is recruiting for a Graphics Programmer.Monday - Friday, 39.5hrs pw£19,500pa.Job duties include:

  • Working from a brief to construct computer-delivered and paper-based curriculum materials that include text, graphic, animation, video, voice and sound components.
  • Following test procedures to check curriculum materials.
  • Using editing tools, prepare, test, and release curriculum materials.
  • Modifying simulations and applications originally developed in Adobe Flash.
  • Using a number of software packages that are standard issue within the Development Department.
  • Assisting in the development, testing and releasing new functionality on the companys websites.
  • Populating the companys websites with data provided from other areas of the company (Sales & Marketing, Support and Development).
  • General day-to-day activities within the Development Department, including general housekeeping disciplines.
The applications include: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Animate, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air, Adobe Dreamweaver, Autodesk 3DS Max, Solidworks, Sonic SoundForge, Adobe Premiere, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and in-house curriculumeditors.You must:
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of Web design techniques.
  • Have experience in web development using a variety of programming languages and applications including: HTML, XML, ASP, JavaScript, ActionScript, Flash, SQL and database design.
  • Have the ability to create programming flowcharts and write pseudo code.
  • Have a good level of understanding of Microsoft Windows server operating systems and maintenance.
  • Have the ability to use Word Processors, Spreadsheets, Project Management and configuration utilities.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills and possess the ability to communicate well with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to ensure the highest standards of confidentiality and conduct in all areas of activity
