A new opportunity has arisen for aFinance Managerto Lead motivate and develop the Norwich financial accounting team, ensuringalignment with the functional business plan (FBP). This position is full time 38 hours per week with the opportunity of hybrid working after probationary period. The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant to (ACCA or ACA Level) or equivalent.Two positions will report into this role : Ledger Team Leader and Statutory & Compliance AccountantKey Performance Indicators• Delivery of assigned FBP objectives and team KPI’s• Accurate, on time, statutory and monthly entity accounts preparation, and associated reporting• Ensure adherence with all compliance requirements and timetablesKey Accountabilities• Responsible for the activities of the Norwich financial accounting team• Ensure all SIL statutory and regulatory obligations are met• Finance business partner to the Norwich management teams• Manage on time, accurate production of monthly entity accounts and business reporting• Ensure consistent application of finance policies through appropriate internal controls framework• Drive continuous improvement in the Finance function and manage process changeKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:• Engagement with department FBP, corporate goals and objectives, ensuring team direction and individual objectives are appropriately aligned• Ensure accuracy of financial transactions, responsible for month end / year end close• Work closely with FC to manage YE statutory audit and group footnotes, leading timetables and team deliverables• Management of tax, VAT (UK and overseas) and statistical filings in accordance with internal deadlines• Delivery of ROW entity monthly management accounts in line with timetables, providing support and training to local teams as required• Work with FC and DoF to ensure continued appropriate internal controls frameworks and adherence with group policies in all ROW entities• Preparation of agreed monthly reporting and commentary• Provide business partnering support• Support FP&A Manager with budget and forecast preparation• Lead finance projects and manage to full implementation• Finance business continuity planning• Drive continuous improvement in the finance function and manage process change.Skills and ExperienceQualified Accountant (ACCA or ACA Level) with management experienceManagement and statutory accounts preparationWorking in a deadline driven environmentProven leadership skillsWorking with external audit and tax teamsCross functional team leadingStrong experience using ERP and reporting softwareBusiness partneringMulti-national businessExperience with Oracle Enterprise One good but not essentialExperience in manufacturing environment preferred but not essential
