Job Description

Fabricator Welder/FitterJob Type: Full Time, PermanentLocation: NorwichWorking Hours: 39 hours MondayFridaySalary: £11.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experienceBenefits:

Fabcon Food Systems Ltd manufactures and supplies bespoke handling and process solutions to the food industry.Our wealth of knowledge, experience and production facilities gives us the ability to supply quality British built machinery at competitive prices.We design, manufacture, install and service complete systems for a wide range of products from initial concept to final execution, providing processors with ideal solutions for processing, product handling, sorting, precision flavouring, weighing and packing.The RoleFabricator Welder/Fitter:Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced fabricator welder / fitter to join our team.The ideal candidate will be able to work off technical drawings via our in-house design team.
  • Experience in all aspects of fabrication including but not limited to
  • Tig/mig welding jobs to a high standard,
  • Workshop/fabrication equipment, such as a cnc guillotine, cnc break press, pillar drill and bandsaw
  • Working with stainless steel and mild steel
  • Working on site installations in the UK and abroad
  • Quality workmanship in sheet metal fabrication
  • Maintain good housekeeping, safety, material handling duties, and meet quality and quantity standards.
  • Operation of assembly fixtures
  • Problem solving of workplace issues
  • Quality inspections of work in progress
  • All other tasks as assigned by Supervision
RequirementsFabricator Welder/Fitter:
  • Must have proven skills and experience as a TIG/MIG Welder
  • Able to read and work from engineer drawings independently
  • Ability operating manual fabrications machinery/tools
  • Proven ability to work off own initiative

  • Perseverance
  • Work as part of a team to ensure on-time quality product to our customers (internal and external)
  • Incorporate safe working procedures into all daily activities in and around facility
  • Understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Experience working in the food industry is preferred
  • Ideally qualified to NVQ level 2 and above or time served
  • Fabricating for 3 years is preferred
  • Driving licence preferred
