Electrical Test EngineerTechnique recruitment Solutions are a specialist Engineering & manufacturing recruitment company based in Norfolk. We closely work with our client who design and manufacture bespoke products for the water industry. Theyare looking for a new member to joinour existing Test Team. The position requires a competent & highly motivated hands-on team player to ensure that the Companys products are tested & validated against specific requirements. These include compliance with Functional Design Specifications (FDSs), Test Plans, internalquality procedures, industry & legislative standards & against specific contractual requirements. The ability to work in accordance with procedures & to fully support excellent working practices (including health, safety & environmental excellence) are essential.This position includes direct customer liaison which requires an extremely positive & can do attitude.Applications are welcomed from candidates who wish to start or progress their career within the Test environment. Selected candidates will have opportunities for internal / formal training necessary to attain educational qualifications e.g. Test & Inspection,HNC, Degree as well as training on Software Applications used by the company.The role responsibilities (but not limited to):Review all the relevant documentation contained in the Test Packageincluding, but not limited to: The FDS; I/O Schedule; System Architecture, & Software Application Revision. Ensure that the Internal Factory Acceptance Test (IFAT) commences in accordancewith agreed procedures & schedule.Diligently & safety perform the IFAT, thoroughly undertaking system functionality checks & testing as specified by the FDS / Test Plan / specific requirements. Negative testing will be carried out in order to validate the robustness of the system.Fully & accurately complete all relevant documentation in line with Company procedures & the requirements of the Project / customer.When correct to do so, sign-off the FDS / Test Plan / Specification, Correction & Omission Sheet(s) & any other relevant documentation.Investigate any non-compliance & repair (if possible) and / or liaise with the System Integration Team in order to remedy all faults identified. Corrections must be tested & verified using established procedures / documentation.Following the successful completion of the IFAT, in consultation with the customer / customers representative, perform the Customer Factory Acceptance Test (CFAT). This may take place at any location as specified by the Project / Contract.Liaise with other departments & personnel to ensure the smooth & efficient progress of the project throughout the entire test phase.With responsibility for the completion & accuracy of test documentation, liaise with colleagues from other departments to ensure that all certification & QA / QC requirements are adequately met / completed.Advise stakeholders of progress & any potential problems at the earliest opportunity.Qualifications/experience:Experience in the field of testing of PLC / HMI / SCADA System Hardware & Software are essential.
