Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join a successful and supportive financial services company, an appointed representative of Tenet Network. This is a full-time, office-based role so you must live within an easily commutable distance of our offices in Norton, Stockton-on-Tees.Our company is well respected and passionate about providing high quality financial advice and ongoing support. We won small IFA business of the year at the Tenet annual awards last year and the MD was shortlisted for General Insurance Adviser of the year 2020.The successful candidate will understand and appreciate the importance of relationship building and networking and will have exceptional drive and determination in securing the best outcomes for our clients.Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing investment recommendation based on a client fact find in conjuncture with advisor input and guidance
  • Preparation of cash flow models
  • Preparation of suitability, financial and annual reports
  • Assistance with financial modelling and projections
  • Completion of files meeting compliance standards
  • Assisting with technical queries
  • Creating and maintaining relationships throughout the business with colleagues and clients.
  • Liaising with providers by telephone/correspondence in relation to new and existing business
  • Technical support of High Net Worth clients
  • Communication with clients and insurers both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge of planning around income tax, CGT, IHT solutions, lifetime tax allowances issues
  • Strong knowledge around wills and trusts as we have a separate company that focuses on tax planning and estate planning, you will also be expected to work in this company.
    • Benefits:In return you’ll receive a generous basic salary of between £35,000 to £40,000 p.a. (depending on skills, experience and qualifications), 28 days annual leave (plus public holidays), personal pension and life assurance schemeAbout you:Ideally you’ll hold a Level 4 Diploma in financial advice (DipFA) or equivalent and have a good working knowledge of compliance and be up to date with new legislation. You’ll also be able to demonstrate:
  • Demonstrable experience working within Financial Services with wide product knowledge as well as significant experience in a similar paraplanning role at a senior level
  • Self-motivated, confident and able to work effectively as part of a professional paraplanning team
  • The ability to organise your own workload and prioritise effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to conduct appropriate research and liaise with the FinancialAdviser to determine the best product or investment solution for clients
  • Good understanding of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Intelligent Office and platform experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent knowledge and willingness to learn and explore all research tools and apps to make a business stand out.
