Job Description

JOB TITLE: REGISTERED MANAGER FOR CHILDRENS HOMELOCATION: CANNOCKSALARY: Up to £42K Circ. per annumPerformance Bonus SchemeAn exciting opportunity for an innovative and experienced Registered Manager to manage a new residential 3 placement childrens home in Cannock, Staffordshire.HancoxRead Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager for a childrens home catering to individuals with learning, mental and physical disabilities.As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the home and ensuring the highest standard of care is provided to our residents.Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead a team of dedicated staff members, providing guidance, support, and motivation to promote a positive working environment.
  • Care Planning: Ensure appropriate care plans are in place for each resident, meeting their individual needs and promoting their well-being.
  • Compliance: Ensure the home operates in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding protocols.
  • Staff Development: Provide training and professional development opportunities to staff members, promoting continuous improvement of knowledge and skills.
  • Admissions and Discharges: Oversee the smooth transition of residents into the home and ensure appropriate discharge plans are in place when required.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to evaluate the effectiveness of care provision and identify areas for improvement.
  • Liaison: Maintain effective communication and collaboration with families, external agencies, and other professionals involved in the care of the residents.
  • Budget Management: Oversee financial resources and ensure effective budgeting and resource allocation.
Requirements:
  • Registered Manager experience in a similar setting, preferably with children and young adults with learning, mental and physical disabilities.
  • A relevant qualification in health and social care management (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care).
  • A thorough understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, including OFSTED requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to providing person-centred care and promoting independence.
Experience/Qualifications
  • A relevant qualification in health and social care management (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care).
