Job Description

Due to business growth, our client is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their Operations team. Their offices are based on the outskirts of Northallerton with no public transport links, but easily accessible by car from Northallerton, Catterick, Richmondand Darlington.It will involve teamwork in the warehouse and other areas of the business so you need to be conscientious and have excellent communication skills.Within the role you will be expected to carry out the following duties:

Unload and receive deliveries into the warehouse checking off and booking in goods to stock locations from various suppliers (both UK and Overseas) onto an in-house Warehouse Management system.
Picking of Orders using the WMS to locate stock.
Assembling of various types of furniture for orders prior to despatch.
Load vehicles with orders for our own delivery vans and external carriers/freight forwarders.
Process any returned/damaged items.
Help carry out company stocktakes.
General Housekeeping of the warehouse using our card/poly compactors

To be considered you should hold some, if not all, of the following skills/qualifications:

Experience within a similar environment (warehouse) preferred.
Experience of using a tablet-based Warehouse Management System (preferred).
Driving License - we are in a remote area with no public transport links
