Job Description

Adecco are currently recruiting a School Cook for our client in Northallerton. This role is a maternity cover position due to start in February 2024 until November 2024.Key Responsibilities

  • You will be providing tasty, nutritious, home-cooked meals.
  • As a Cook you will be delivering an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety.
  • Plan menus to meet nutritional standards, taking into account dietary needs and pupil preferences, costs and budgets.
  • Your role will require you to prepare, cook and serve meals to pupils as well as other kitchen management duties such as, stocktaking and administration, setting out and putting away dining furniture, washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Plan menus to meet nutritional standards, taking into account dietary needs and pupil preferences, costs and budgets and orders stock effectively to reduce wastage.
The role will also require lunchtime playtime duty. To be committed to safeguarding and promote the welfare of children, and adults, raising concerns as appropriate.As a valued member of the hard-working team you will be reliable, dependable and committed to providing healthy wholesome dishes, working from 10am to 2pm totalling 20 hours per week over 5 days, term time only.This post requires an enhanced DBS check and you must hold a relevant food hygiene certificate.Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
