Job Description

Operations Director - NorthallertonThe CompanyThe company is a leading cladding and curtain walling facades contractor carrying out design, supply and installation packages for high profile clients. They operate from offices based in Northallerton, Tamworth, Birmingham and Doncaster and work on a nationalbases on a range of projects across the public, leisure, education, retail, commercial, health and industrial sectors with contracts ranging from £100,000 to in excess of £12 million.The opportunity Through ongoing organisational development, the company has established the role ofOperations Director to support the Companys vision and objectives. The OperationsDirector has top-level responsibility for the delivery of projects under their control,ensuring that these enhance the ongoing profitability, integrity, sustainability and successof the Company and meet all Client, Company and statutory requirements. The Operations Director has overall responsibility for ensuring that the Company meets its legal requirements and upholds its policies for operational Health, Safety, Environment andQuality. The Operations Director has ownership of, and responsibility for, establishing and achieving relevant operational KPIs and Objectives that support the Companys overall business strategies.The Operations Director will report directly to the Shareholder Directors and will have overall responsibility for the effective operation and development of the functions, teams and processes under their control, including the identification, assessmentand management of relevant risks and opportunities. The role requires leadership and professionalism that will help to shape and drive positive and market leading culture. The Operations Director will be expected to produce and maintain a documented strategy,that draws directly from the Companys overall business strategies, for all operations under their control, inclusive of all reportable objectives and KPIs. The Operations Director will be confident working alongside HR, building a solid people strategy deliveringhigh performance and robust succession planning, as they would be dealing with any escalated operational issues, adopting and retaining ownership through to satisfactory resolution.What you will need:As a minimum, you will require:

  • A proven track record and demonstrable previous success in operational management in the
construction industry, including in the management of teams, processes and functions applicableto this opportunity.
  • HND, NVQ Level 7 Operations Management, or equivalent proven experience.
  • NEBOSH Construction, or proven track record of Health & Safety in role.
  • Good computer skills; proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full, clean UK driving license. The ability to travel to/from sites and undertake occasional overnight stays
are a requirement of the role.What we are looking for:
