We are looking to recruit a Material Scheduler - Steel within the Supply Chain / Purchasing department for a leading design manufacturer in the Thrisk and Northallerton area, this role is a 5 days a week role on site. This is a role in the business that needs an individual to take ownership of this area of the supply chain, forging excellent working partnerships with external subcontract suppliers, to ensure the timely delivery of products in line with production forecast.Key Responsibilities:+ Ensure all forecasting activities associated with the analysis of production are completed in a timely manner on a monthly basis+ Drive the material plan and schedules with suppliers to meet the production demand+ Liaise with suppliers on demand related issues+ Provide a link between Operations, Purchasing and Production+ Deliver weekly KPIs to show supplier delivery performance+ Be the first point of contact for any queries+ Maintain the MRP/ERP system with key supplier data, including weekly schedule demands.+ Assist in continuous improvements of Logistics systems to ensure all KPIs are performing in line with Plant specific targets+ Align inventory levels with peaks and troughs in demand+ Maintain good relationships across the business+ Ensure change requests are understood and actioned in the correct and timely mannerKnowledge & Experience:+ Degree Qualified, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering related discipline+ Previous Logistics, Supply Chain, Planning, Forecasting experience+ MRP experience+ Experience in Steel+ Strong analytical and cost calculation skills+ Good interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude+ Excellent organisation skills+ Proficient in MS Office particularly ExcelSalary:£38,000 - £40,000 depending experience + packageThirsk basedMaterial Planner / Material Scheudler / Production Planner / Senior Planner / Project PlannerIf you want to discuss this position in more detail, please contact Carl Walker at Elevation Recruitment Group.Elevation Recruitment Groups Procurement and Supply Chain division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
