Job Description

We are recruiting for a long-standing client in Northallerton who is looking to appoint an Logistics Administrator to join their busy team on a full-time, fixed term contract basis.As the successful candidate you will be responsible for scheduling and co-ordination of customer deliveries, ensuring all activities are performed in an accurate & timely manner to deliver functional and business objectives. Support Logistics Planner toachieve their delivery schedule.Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and process deliveries nationally and internationally of bulk, IBC and palletised refined oils / specialty products through KFG Fleet and 3rd party logistics providers in order to achieve the delivery plan provided by the Logistics Planner
  • Ensure deliveries are booked in efficiently with customers to achieve the delivery schedule provided by the Logistics Planner
  • Support the Logistics Planner to identify solutions and contingency plans for any delivery issues
  • Work closely with our 3PL providers to maximise performance, drive efficiency, and highlight any decline in performance
  • Manage all activities associated with returnable transit packaging (IBCs)
  • Process all relevant transport documents and dangerous goods documentation
  • Support Logistics Planner by preparing documentation required to facilitate the importing and exporting of goods
  • Raise purchase orders for all 3rd party suppliers and check them off against the supplier invoice
  • Resolve any invoice queries
  • Investigate Logistics Division Non-Conformances and manage investigations through to resolution
  • Provide cover within the team for the Logistics Planner
Skills and Experience Required
  • Ability to maintain control in a busy, fast paced working environment
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Able to remain calm under pressure
  • Confident IT skills, proven record of using all Microsoft programmes
  • Exemplary organisational skills, always maintaining discretion and tactfulness
  • Experience with continuous improvement
