Job Description

Customer Service Supervisor - Northallerton Darlington Building Society is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Branch Network as a Customer Service Supervisor. At the Society we pride ourselves on providing an excellent customer service, in doing this we ensure we deliver a unique customer journey for our members and community.Do you have a passion for delivering first class experiences every time for our members Do you thrive in a changing and professionally challenging environment Do you want to develop as a coach and learn to develop colleagues to give great customer service If so, keep reading to find out more.On a daily basis as a Customer Service Supervisor, you will work with the Branch Manager in bringing to life our branch standards, supporting colleagues through coaching and development to reach their full potential. The Customer Service Supervisor will use their excellent organisational skills to retain operational responsibilities for the day to day running of their branch, they will also passionately work on building relationships within their local community promoting our skills and resources with charities, community groups and schools.As a Customer Service Supervisor in the Branch network, you will become an advocate of our Society procedures, policies and guidelines, developing an in depth knowledge of it and putting forward your idea of improvement where necessary.Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • 5 GCSEs grade c or above (or equivalent) including Maths and English;
  • Previous experience as a Team management/ Team leader
  • Knowledge of the financial market (products and regulation) is essential
  • Knowledge of Financial Service Industry is an advantage
  • IT Literacy in all Microsoft packages
  • Ability to build strong internal/external relationships
  • Relevant experience of developing colleagues - with effective supportive coaching
  • Customer Service Champion
  • Previous Customer Service Experience
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and able to present figures in a clear and concise manner
