Job Description

Connect Appointments are recruiting an experienced Fabricator to join our North Shields based client on a full-time permanent contract.Reporting to the Factory Manager your main duties as a Fabricator will be around the welding and fabrication of various products. Therefore, previous experience working with Stainless, Mild Steel and Aluminium metals is desirable.Fabricator working hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 4:30pm &
  • Friday, 7:30am to 12:30pm
Paid at a rate of £14 to £15 per hour.To be successful in this Fabricator role you must be competent using a Press Brake, Guillotine, and several hand tools to shape and cut materials. Possess a working background in the fabrication industry and be able to understand and interpret engineeringdrawings and schematic diagrams.An overview of your duties as a Fabricator include:
  • Fabricate and weld products
  • Prepare materials
  • Carry out metal fabrication development
  • Use CNC Press Brake, Guillotine, and several hand tools to shape and cut materials.
  • Understand and work to engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.
  • MIG Skill
  • TIG Welding skills would be helpful but not essential
  • Work with Stainless & Mild Steel and Aluminium.
Please note - Work will include carrying out deliveries and installations at customer sites.Formal Welding & Fabrication qualifications are desired but not essential, as practical skills tests and training can be provided to candidate.
