Job Description

Senior QA Test Engineer WFH / London to £60kAre you a technologist with strong software testing skills and Agile team experienceYou could be progressing your career at a fast growing UK tech company that is producing a SmartTV product, a kind of Netflix for music.As a Senior QA Test Engineer youll be embedded within a small, cross functional, Agile software development team to lead the testing activities, including liaising with engineering leads to understand requirements through to coordinating and estimatingwork and contributing to capacity planning.Youll collaborate with the team to develop and execute test plans and identify risks whilst also defining and maintaining testing standards, procedures and best practices, youll drive continuous improvement and pro-actively identify opportunities for optimisationand automation to enhance efficiency.Theres also a focus on delivery; youll track progress and report on testing status and quality metrics, collaborate with Product Owners to define release plans and prioritise deliverables and facilitate release planning meetings to ensure alignment ofscope, timelines and dependencies.WFH Policy:You can work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the London office once a month.Requirements:

  • You have experience in an Agile software development environment, with a strong knowledge of test management tools, test case management and defect tracking systems
  • You have advanced analysis and problem solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • You have experience of driving continuous improvement, pro-actively identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation to drive and enhance efficiency
  • Youre collaborative with excellent communication skills, able to build strong working relationships within cross functional teams
  • Youre degree educated, 2.1 or above from a top tier university in a STEM discipline, Computer Science preferred
  • Ideally you will have experience within a similar media streaming environment
