Job Description

Fundraising and Events OfficerA leading organisation based in Mallusk, are currently seeking a Fundraising & Events Officer to join their team.This is a Full-Time, permanent position.Working hours: 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.With a salary of £25,000 -£26,000 per annum (dependent on experience).Hybrid working – Typically three days at home and two days in the officeJob Role:You will be responsible for providing support to the Funding, Fundraising and Communications Department within the Policy and Development Directorate by assisting with funding applications, liaising with community and corporate donors, coordination of communityand stakeholder events and managing related administration and digital content.Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • 1 years’ relevant recent experience of fundraising, marketing or event management.
  • Proven experience of supporting a team to increase income or achieve targets through co-ordinated campaigns and/or community & corporate engagement.
  • Proven ability to support and motivate event participants in achieving their targets.
  • Experience of working with a fundraising CRM system and other integrated communication platforms.
  • IT proficient with the use of Microsoft Office packages, to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to car with business insurance to enable travel throughout Ireland and the UK and be willing to undertake occasional overnight stays away from home. (Please note relevant business insurance will be required on commencementof employment).
Desirable Criteria:
  • 3rd Level qualification in Communications, Advertising or Marketing or other relevant discipline.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Fundraising Manager and other members of the Policy and Development Directorate to maximise income opportunities and provide quality relationship management to supporters.
  • Maintain established relationships with Community Fundraising Champions and foster new relationships in locations where the business provides services.
  • Support Community Fundraising participants to maximise any fundraising opportunities e.g., marathon participants, coffee mornings, skydives etc.
  • Ensure Community Fundraising participants and supporters are appropriately acknowledged and thanked and given other opportunities to further support the company mission.
  • Provide a regular flow of engaging content on community fundraising activity for promotional purposes to the Communications and Marketing team and to ensure image consents/are in place at led events.
  • Ensure all Community Fundraising information, databases and records are accurately kept and updated.
  • Maintain the Corporate Trusts and Foundations database and develop this through continual scoping of the market in UK and Ireland.
  • Build a database and relations with businesses in key areas.
  • Support the business Services Managers with funding applications up to £10k and to maintain an Applications Tracker to monitor outcomes and reporting.
  • Support with the monitoring of funding portals and to alert colleagues to new opportunities as agreed.
  • Provide support, as required, at public-facing events.
  • Undertake training and development opportunities as agreed.
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks as agreed.
