  • Salary dependent on experience
  • Full time working hours: 7.30am – 3.00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Part time hours will also be considered for the right candidate
Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UKOur client is a highly reputable enterprise park providing professional commercial workspace, conference facilities and business support services to entrepreneurs in and around Newtownabbey.They require an assistant to support the team at the exciting new on-site delicatessen, opening November 2023. As a Deli Assistant, youll be the face of our deli, providing excellent customer service and preparing delicious food and beverages.Responsibilities of the job will include:Customer Service:
  • Greet, assist, and provide recommendations to customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and special requests professionally.
Food Preparation:
  • Prepare deli items and serve hot/cold beverages, ensuring hygiene standards.
Stock Management:
  • Monitor inventory, communicate restocking needs, and maintain product quality.
Maintain Cleanliness:
  • Keep deli area clean and organised, following sanitation guidelines.
  • Undertake general cleaning tasks within the deli space.
Payment Handling:
  • Process customer transactions accurately using the EPOS system.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with team for smooth deli operation.
  • Assist in training new staff, promoting a collaborative work environment.
Experience and Qualifications:Essential:
  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Desirable:
  • Level 2 or above; Food Safety and Hygiene
  • Barista Trained
In the absence of the above desired traits, full training will be provided.Salary and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience
  • 6% employer pension contribution
  • Annual leave: 28 days, including public holidays
