Part Qualified Accountant/ Accounting Technician- Newtownabbey- £27,000 per annumReed Recruitment is delighted to be working with a Motor Trade Specialist Company based in the Newtownabbey Area. Our client, a market leader in their field, is keen to recruit an experienced Accounting Technician/ Part Qualified Accountant to join theirteam on a full-time permanent basis.Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the purpose of the role is to ensure company accounts and management reports are prepared in an accurate and timely manner whilst maintaining appropriate financial controls, as well as any other finance tasksand projects deemed appropriate.Based in a busy accounts department you will be responsible for: Monthly management accounts plus associated reports Reconciling balance sheet accounts Maintaining fixed asset register Preparation and posting of accruals, prepayments and all necessary journals Preparation and filing of VAT returns / other returns to government Assist in preparation of annual budgets Preparation of year-end audit file and statutory accounts Preparation of ad hoc financial analysis and business reports for management Other ad hoc duties as requiredCandidates must have the following attributes: Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Accounting Technician Strong IT skills, particularly in excel Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders Ability to work in a busy environment and use your own initiative Full, valid driving licenceThis role is offering a very competitive salary dependent on experience.
