Care Support Worker (Personal Assistant)Location: Newton Mearns, G77 6AA. Lets introduce you to Arthur:My name is Arthur. I live in my own home in Newton Mearns. I have a flat mate. We both have our own personal assistants during the day and share support from 10pm. The shift pattern is 7.30am-11pm. Sleepovers are 11pm-8amIm a gentle and friendly man and well known for my sunny personality and charming smile. I mostly enjoy getting out and about in the local community to all sorts of places and love people watching. I enjoy walking, Im a bit unsteady on my feet and requirestaff to support me. I have my own mobility car and would need you to be able to drive me to places like the supermarket, park, social clubs, and on holiday. Therefore, a driving license is essential for you to work with me. I would also expect you to introduceme to new places.My family are very important to me, and I would like your support to help me keep in touch with them. I love food! I would like you to support me to prepare meals specifically to my needs and to ensure I eat a balanced diet. I enjoy helping my staff and I geta buzz when I am praised for my efforts.I take pride in my appearance and always like to look my best. I have high standards and need you to be comfortable in supporting me with personal care.It is essential that you take the time to get to know me as an individual. I have my own unique way of communicating and it is important that you learn how best to communicate with me and respect my ways.
