Job Description

We are recruiting a Pricing Project Coordinator to join our client based in Newton le Willows.The ideal candidate will be experienced in analysing pricing data and working with project management methodologies to ensure all pricing information is uploaded timely, enabling reports to be generated and bids to be generated within the target date.The successful applicant will match the below skill set

  • Ability to analyse and extract pricing relevant information from enquiry documents and use it to generate competitive pricing solutions
  • Software competent with the complete Microsoft suite including Excel (master user and confident with Pivot tables, Lookups, Search and Index as well as other formulas
  • Process and compliance-driven
  • An effective verbal and written communicator at several levels and a strong presenter
  • Can work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Relentlessness to drive strategic new business pricing projects
The role
  • Develop pricing strategies aligned with market dynamics, customer demands, and business objectives.
  • Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
  • Conduct thorough margin analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement measures to ensure margin control. Monitor pricing performance, identify pricing inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions to optimise profitability
  • Conduct competitor analysis and quality analysis on pricing,
  • Design and implement pricing models that align with the companys strategic goals and objectives. Evaluate and recommend pricing methodologies, discount structures, and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Utilise data analytics tools and techniques to generate actionable insights from pricing data. Perform pricing sensitivity analysis, pricing simulations, and scenario modelling to support pricing decision-making and evaluate the impact of pricing changes.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and other relevant teams to align pricing strategies with business objectives. Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, to understand their pricing requirements and provide guidance on pricing decisions.
  • Attend any appropriate meetings, site visits or pricing clarification calls to understand the cost drivers and key messages to provide efficient pricing solutions.
  • Import costing data into customer-preferred pricing models/templates and identify and raise any errors and omissions.
  • Provide a high-level quality pricing summary.
  • Provide a full pricing handover to directors
  • Review, learn and share appropriate MI for work lost and won due to pricing.
Compliance
  • Install and embed best-in-class written process - HOW we do business pricing manual.
  • Support relevant statutory compliance and other regulations.
  • Support Group ESG targets and ambitions
Qualifications & Licenses (holding or working towards a distinct advantage)
  • Data Analysis and/or Accounting qualifications are a distinct advantage.
  • A full five-year checkable employment history including a minimum of 2 work references, a personal credit check, right of work compliance
  • Other appropriate professional qualifications
