Job Description

Management AccountantAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a management accountant to join one of the largest businesses providing specialist services within the UK, based in Newton-Le-WillowsThe business specialise in security, cleaning, training, concierge and much more, on a growth trajectory the business is expanding its finance team by hiring an experienced management accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious QBE, ACA,ACCA, CIMA part qualified/finalist who is on their growth trajectory in their career.Reporting to the financial controller your duties will include:

  • Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
  • Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments, and similar accounting entries.
  • Preparing the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the Financial controller.
  • Assisting with preparing statutory accounts.
  • Processing and raising invoices and bills.
  • Production of cash flow forecasts.
  • Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting, and reforecast processes.
  • Providing back-office services such as dealing with queries from customers.
  • VAT management and reporting.
YOU
  • Ideally you will be a finalist, part qualified or studying towards (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or QBE
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and numerical skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Previous experience in the preparation of monthly management accounts
