Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking b2b business near Newton Le Willows, as a Health & Safety Coordinator.Applicants must have recent experience working in similar Health & Safety role, experience of overseeing policies and managing procedures is essential for this role..If you are looking for a new challenge within H&S, then get in touch!Key Responsibilities:Reporting into MD, managing all H&S processes and procedures for 3 sitesOverseeing H&S policies and working with Peninsula for H&S supportProviding new starter induction and PPEProvide H&S training and support across the company as and when requiredSupport the development of safety and environment standards, processes, and improvement areas across the businessActing and reporting on incidents with suitable follow upsLiaise with managers and training suppliers regarding training course bookings as appropriateEnsure all employees (including new starters) hold the relevant qualifications to carry out their jobsKeeping all accreditations valid and up to date including conducting auditBooking in training and SCMLiaising with other departments as of when requiredOverseeing Office annual risk assessmentsOverseeing First Aid and Fire Warden qualification for office and workshopOnce a month site visits down South using pool carManaging a Health & safety AdministratorSkills Required:Must have recent experience working in a similar Health & Safety roleAt least 2 years + health & safety experienceExperience of managing H&S policies and procedures is essentialKnowledge of working with peninsula would be desirableGood communication and interpersonal skillsStrong administration skillsProficient in Microsoft officePossess a clean driving licenseAble to travel once every 1-2 months to another site in Reading (pool car & fuel provided)Salary up £32k, negotiable (depending on experience)Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (office based) 1 hour lunch28 days holidaysPensionOnsite parkingCanteen facilities
