A leading and growing firm of chartered accountants based in Newton Abbot is searching for a Senior Tax Manager to join their team to lead and develop the firms successful tax department. You will have genuine potential to progress within an influentialrole, delivering wide ranging mixed tax advice, within a mixed role across both corporate and personal tax. Whilst compliance is a key offering the firm has a focus on delivering much wider services to their clients around this, focusing on wider advisory and business advice. The firm acts for wide rangingindividuals, HMWIs, directors and other clients on the personal tax side. You will play a key role in helping the firm develop its tax offering and service line, with career progression and development path on offerDescriptionJoining as Senior Tax Manager based in the firms Newton Abbot offices, alongside managing the tax team and delivery of a quality compliance service across both corporate and personal tax delivery you will focus on delivering wide ranging tax advice to thefirms clients, with a mixed role across personal and corporate tax side, whilst with a focus and lean on corporate tax planning. You will work on wide ranging tax planning and advisory work with examples across capital tax planning, IHT, trusts, wills, propertyrelated tax advice and tax implications and planning for succession. Alongside this there will be also be significant involvement in corporate tax related work as well with the potential for involvement in mergers, sales and acquisitions tax advice, companyreorganisations (purchase of own shares, share exchange, demergers etc.) and related clearance applications as some examples. will look to grow and develop the firms tax department managing and the team. There will be a clear progression path on offer as wellfor the right individual seeking a route to carve a career path and progress in their tax career.ProfileYou will be any of ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualified with a career background in tax compliance and advisory/planning tax, gained within an accounting firm, or tax boutique firm of any size. Ideally you will bring a mixed tax technical skills across both personaland corporate tax advice, or have a corporate tax focus. You may also bring a wider accountancy / mixed general practice background within your career, or equally may have focused entirely within the taxation sector throughout your career. You will have developedyour career to at least Manager levels and be looking for the right career move where you can lead and develop a growing tax team and department with a clear path to progress, along with looking to focus on advisory project work and deliver solutions to clients.Job OfferCirca £50,000 - £65,000 dependent on the background experience and level of the right professional, plus benefits, negotiable.
