Teqniq is searching for a Planning Officer to work in the public sector.37 hours contract.6 months contract.09:00-17:00Can work remotely but has to be able to come to the office regularly (say once a week/fortnight) to undertake site visits.a) Examination and assessment of a range of applications submitted to the Local Planning Authority and related planning issues with reference to Development Plan Policies and any other material considerations.b) Maintaining accurate and reliable digitalrecords in relation to casework.c) Drafting of recommendations and Committee reports on high volume planning proposals within target timescales.d) Negotiations to achieve improvements to planning proposals.e) Providing good customer service by advising applicants/agentsduring the processing of planning proposals and giving pre-application advice on planning issues and policies.g) Attendance as required by the Business Manager – Strategic Place at Committee meetings, Site Inspection Parties and other similar meetings involvingCouncillors.h) Preparing appeal statements and giving evidence at planning appeals.i) Carrying out investigations, including site inspections, to ensure compliance with planning conditions, pursuance of complaints to Planning Services on planning related mattersand liaising with and advising the enforcement team about breaches of planning control.j) Such other planning duties as occasionally required, commensurate with the grade and responsibilities of the post.TEQ-1023-5235707IND2Disclaimer: On applying for this vacancy, you agree that your personal details will be passed onto our client, (or any third parties we have dealings with) for their consideration of your suitability for the role.
