Marine EngineerSalary: £33k-£40K dependent on experienceHours: Monday- FridayLocation: Newton AbbotEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-TimeAcorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for a Marine Engineer to join a family run business in HeathfieldKey Responsibilities:* Collaborate with our technical service support team at our head office in Newton Abbot.* Provide top-notch engineering support and remote guidance to our customers operating marine engines ranging from 96hp to 1200hp.* Diagnose, repair, remove, and install mechanical and electronic marine diesel engines.* Execute in-house engineering duties.* Demonstrate excellent self-management, job organisation, and customer-facing skills.* Working both independently and as part of a team for larger projects.* Willingness to travel to various locations.Essential Requirements:* Extensive experience in the commercial marine diesel industry.* In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electronic marine diesel engines.* Proficiency in modern marine electrical systems.* Strong practical and motivated approach.* Exceptional problem-solving skills.* Clear and confident communication skills for customer interactions.* Ability to operate as a single engineer and collaborate effectively in a team.* Utilise basic computer skills to enhance job performance.* Valid drivers license.
