Test Engineer - Electric PowertrainGwent18211/617£35,000 - £48,000 + comprehensive benefits packageMy client is part of a successful international organisation and has a rich history of producing hi-tech Automotive components for a world wide OEM client base.They have recently announced a significant investment at their South Wales facility with the development of zero emission smart powertrains, integrating motor, gearbox, invertor, differential and brakes in a single lightweight system. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the Electric Powertrain Test Engineer will have responsibility for the implementation of Electric Powertrain DVP test programs and will be tasked with:o The generation of test requests, the design and provision of test fixturing, test rig setup, monitoring of on-going tests, analyse test results and the generation of Engineering test reportso Provide technical leadership and guidance in testing equipment, instrumentation and test procedureso Manage Test projects to meet specific program objectives and provide specifications for test and fixture designo Utilise a variety of Engineering software tools and computer programs (e.g. CAN bus software) to assist in test rig control and data processingo Support Product Engineering with root cause analysisKnowledge, Skills & Experience:o Degree Qualified in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineeringo Minimum of 5 years experience in testing and data acquisitiono Solid understanding of Suspension, Axle and Brake test systems and methods o Understanding of Fatigue / Stress analysisBenefits Package:o £35,000 - £48,000o Comprehensive benefits package Suitable candidates should apply immediately by calling on or by sending your CV to We regret that this client is not prepared to sponsor work permit or work permit transfer applications.
