La Fosse are partnered with a leading Government department who are looking for a contract Technical Lead to join their team. Outside IR35, active SC / DV Clearance is mandatory.Role will start remote given the current climate, but there will be some on site requirements once lockdown is lifted. I am waiting for further guidance on how much on site need there is further ahead. The client are based in South Wales.The right candidate for this role will be proficient in cloud-based technologies and tools and have an interest and knowledge in emerging technologies and the changing landscape.This role will be centrally responsible for technology decisions for the team, collaborating with other Tech Leads, SAs and TAs when required to meet a consensus and to share knowledge and code to ensure there is no duplication of effort.Essential skills are:* Team leadership and mentoring* Practitioner in Cloud design and development, preferably AWS. Added knowledge and experience of Appsync, Lambdas, Dynamo DB and S3, go/Golang and python.* Database design and implementation. Taking logical data models into physical implementations and understanding the requirements and tools to be able to choose the right DBMs for the job.* Have knowledge of CI/CD techniques and tools, preferably Concourse and Terraform.* Aptitude to learn new skills, research and keep up to date with emerging technologies. Feed into technical design meetings so that the right tool is selected to meet the user needs.
