Job Description

Setting OutEngineer (PTS)Location:South WalesDuration:6-12 monthsRate:£300-350 per day (Dependent on experience)My client is looking for a Civil bias PTS Engineer to join their team in the South of Wales. The engineer will be reporting to the package manager and be responsible for the engineering control on site.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate site setting out activities to satisfy standards of contract programme requirements
  • Ensuring company procedures are thoroughly adopted throughout the setting out process
  • Effective planning to ensure that most effective use of resource, methods and controls are engaged
  • Taking individual accountability to ensuring that project goals are met
  • Read site plans and drawings ensuring all work is set out and completed in compliance with the approved design drawings
  • Oversee quality control, ensuring all work is carried out to highest industry standards, govern the production of ITPs and WPPs.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience of Setting Out techniques, using EDMsto the specific set of Co-ordinates.
  • Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or equal qualification
  • Hold a PTS (must) and other relevant qualifications
  • Have prior experience working on projects involving REBs, UTXs, Loc Bases gantries, Utxs, signalling assets, foundation installations and other civils works
  • Oversee subcontractors on site
  • Comfortable completing engineering documentation
