Cedar are exclusively supporting UK Shared Business Services (UK SBS) who are going through a period of growth and as a result are looking to hire 7 x Procurement Specialists and 3 x Procurement Managers to join their successful Procurement Team.These roles are all permanent job opportunities with a salary of up to £31,797 on offer for the Procurement Specialist position and a salary of up to£40,175 on offer for the Procurement Manager position. All the roles will also offer 28 Days Annual Leave(plus Bank Holidays), CIPS Funding (on completion of your probation period) and an Employer Pension Contribution of 26%. These roles offer flexible hybrid working and UK SBS are open to hiring people based anywhere in the UK, as the role will be mainly HomeBased, but you will be required to go to one of UK SBS offices in either Swindon (Head Office), Newport or Billingham (whichever is closest to you) for key meetings/requirements.ABOUT UK SBS:UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS) is owned by its clients and they are a Public Sector Shared Services provider to government, working in partnership with their clients to help in the advancement of the UKs economy and society. UK SBSs Partnersinclude the Department for Business & Trade (DBT), Department of Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ), Department of Science & Innovation (DSIT) and UK Research & Innovation (UKRI), in which they provide HR and Payroll, Finance, Procurement, and IT businessservices and specialist expertise.ABOUT THE PROCUREMENT MANAGER ROLE:Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Manager will provide support in the development and management of the end-to-end tendering process, whilst leading on high profile/complex contracts. You will ensure the successful delivery of contractsadhere to all relevant EU legislation, public contract regulations, value for money principles and commercial awareness and will ensure that audit trails are created, governance and due diligence are embedded, and value for money analysis undertaken. You willbe required to seek approval and be an escalation point for procurements of £100k to £500k in value (subject to change) and ensure that the defined best practice procurement processes and policies are followed to deliver maximum use of e-Procurement Systemsand processes. You will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and managing team performance while leading the team to guarantee a professional and effective capability is always deployed, demonstrate Our Values and ensure your team follow by example whencarrying out their responsibilities and provide specialist commercial advice and support to our customers and within your team.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
