Job Description

* Client experience* Hybrid working (after probation)* Must be a strong payrollerRole: Payroll Manager Location: Newport Salary: £45,000Type: Permanent role/Hybrid A well-known accountancy practice is currently seeking an exceptionally skilled Payroll professional to take on the role of Payroll Manager.Duties:* Processing payrolls of varying frequencies (weekly, monthly, fortnightly, etc.), including the compilation of timesheets.* Administration duties encompassing starters and leavers.* Ensuring timely completion of essential payments, such as pension contributions and BACS salary payments.* Collaborating with HMRC and other pertinent third parties.* Addressing client queries related to tax, NI, employee benefits, etc.* Executing year-end payroll procedures.* Keeping abreast of payroll knowledge, aligning with HMRC guidelines, and updating procedures accordingly.* Supervising a team of three to ensure streamlined workflow.Skills:* Strong numeracy and literacy skills.* Experience with advising on broader HR-related matters is advantageous.* Dedication and enthusiasm.* Organizational proficiency and focus.* Common-sense approach, initiative, and adeptness at managing a diverse workload.* Effective communication skills.* Proficiency in using various software, including Sage/Xero payroll.Contact: for more information.JGA Recruitment Group Ltd ("We") are committed to equality of opportunity for all applications regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.We strongly encourage suitably qualified applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to apply.We are also committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
