Job Description

Lead Data Engineer/ Salary up to £68,500/ South-Wales / Flexible WorkingYolk Recruitment Public Sector and Not For Profit are thrilled to be working with the Civil service on their latest recruitment drive, who are on the hunt for an experienced lead Data Engineer to join their IT team.My client is a modern organisation who relies on its IT services to operate effectively, where the correct candidate will provide up to date services not just to their national but international systems that need to be maintained, developed and improvedwhere necessary.As a Lead Data Engineer, the right candidate will have the opportunity to utilise modern cloud technologies within the latest delivery processes and work on innovative projects, allowing you to make valuable contributions without compromising on quality.What the Lead Data Engineer will be doing

  • Working with Multi-disciplined teams using new technologies to create and build enterprise grade services
  • Investigating, diagnosing and fixing of any system issues
  • Mentoring and coaching Team members on correct processes (4-5 team members)
  • To be accountable for the Teams deliverables
  • Reporting into the Head of Development
What the lead Data Engineer will need
  • Experience with Modern Delivery processes i.e Scrum/ Agile
  • Experience of Azure SQL or other databases
  • Strong skills with Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks and Python
  • Advocate of Devops Principles
  • Good Data modelling and experience with data cleansing/ extraction
