Job Description

Job Title: Installation Technician (LGV Driver)Location: Newport - Field based roleSalary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum plus overnight subsistence and bonusJob Type: Permanent, Full TimeThe Role:You will receive on the job training from highly skilled technicians in supporting the delivery and mechanical installation of equipment at sites across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an LGV licence and mechanical interests to joina talented team and develop skills to support the medical industry.Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely deliver, unload and check equipment
  • Install systems to exacting standards and tolerances
  • Follow detailed instructions, plans and site drawings
  • Provide excellent customer service whilst on site
  • Submit reports in accordance with the companys procedures
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and welfare
Primarily working on installation projects, you can expect to be away from home an average of four nights per week with paid rest days between installations. Work is predominately scheduled in the UK and Ireland with some European and International travel.This could be an ideal opportunity for an experienced driver looking to expand their skills. Full training will be given due to the specialist nature of the role.Qualifications & Experience:
  • Categories C or CE driving licence
  • Up to date CPC and digital tachograph card
  • Background or interest in mechanical engineering
  • Basic IT skills
  • A keen interest in learning new skills
  • Clear understanding of Health and Safety and safe methods of working
