Job Description

Our Story;IQE PLC is the leading global supplier of advanced wafer products and material solutions to the semiconductor industry. IQEs core business is the design and manufacture of compound semiconductor wafers or "epiwafers" using a process called epitaxy. IQEsepiwafers are used in advanced electronic and photonic components which enable a broad portfolio of todays technology productsThe RoleIT Analyst/Developer is directly responsible for developing in-house solutions to support and enhance information storage, retrieval, and processing. Position is key to shaping software technology direction and assisting in applications integrations.Responsibilities;To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Plan, design, develop and support software systems
  • User / business requirements gathering and analysis
  • Specification compilation
  • Software development against specifications
  • Continuing support against existing solutions
  • Configure, link, and customise external software as required
  • Create advanced data reports
  • Maintain software project documentation and source repositories
  • Highlights and raise red flags when he/she see any inefficiencies in process, risks of not meeting deadlines.
Secondary
  • Train users on custom software
  • Assist users with basic reporting requirements
  • Work with outside developers / consultants as required
  • Assist in other reasonable IT tasks as assigned by line manager
Experience;
  • This position requires BA/BS with technical background.
  • Experience in Semiconductor / Manufacturing is a plus.
  • At least 3 years in a developer role
Skills Required;
  • Advanced proficiency with object oriented programming (Essential technical skills)
Net4.5+(Web and windows) / VB.net / C#/ASP.net / Visual StudioSQL 2016 / 2019 database design and managementSSRSPowerShellGIT and Azure DevOpsHTML, CSS and JavascriptMicroservice Architecture including REST and GraphQL APIsTransact-SQL stored proceduresMicrosoft Database maintenance & design - Analysis / Design / ArchitectureExperience in designing integrated solutions in a distributed environmentEnd user ODBC methodology (i.e.MS Excel External data capabilities)
  • Possess strong Information Technology troubleshooting skills
  • Have a high degree of trustworthiness with confidential data
  • Be pro-active and possess excellent people, team, and communications skills (verbal and written) and time management skills.
