In partnership with Newport City Council (NCC), GAVO manage a food resilience project with initial funding from NCC to set up the Food Network andcollaborate with a range of organisations providing support to the community around. Further investment from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund as part of the UK Government Levelling Up agenda will continue to fund food sustainability and resilience activity thatwill work towards a Food Strategy for the communities of Newport.About the roleWorking with the Food Project Manager, the post holder will continue to engage with and build capacity and resilience around grass roots groups, maintaining and expanding the existing network and helping improve access and affordability of good food acrossNewport. The post holder will work closely with a dedicated and passionate GAVO Newport Team who are making a real difference to local people.About youThe right person for this role will have experience of working in partnership and in collaboration with a wide spectrum of organisations and groups.
