Electronics Engineer (Communications/RF)Remote - Newport once a week£50,000 + Training + Progression to management + Benefits Excellent role for an electronics engineer with communications experience to join a rapidly expanding business, where you will get expert training and grow a team around you.Do you have an electronics/communications background Do you want a role working on technology at pre-patent phaseThe company are developing a dedicated trackside train network technology believed to be the fastest in the world by some margin. This will revolutionise the commuter journey and train Wi-Fi. The role will be getting involved with developing a prototype ready for trial phases at different rail stations before the end of the year and more early 2022. Once this has happened the role will be around converting a prototype to a production ready productwith constant improvements and tweaking required. The role will develop as does the company grows and more products are rolled out, growing a team around you to assist with this.To be considered you need an electronics and communications skill set, keen to learn and develop.The role will involve all areas below and training will be provided;* Evaluation and optimisation of Radio Frequency (RF) circuits (DC-1GHz), including further design for production and cost reduction* Design and implementation of Passive Optical Networks, including potentially Wavelength Division Multiplexing* Evaluation and optimisation of RF over Fibre (RFoF) systems* Evaluation and optimisation of mmWave building blocks (transceivers, antennae, waveguides, waveguide switches)* Design for Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC)* Evaluation of options for dynamic Internet Protocol (IP) routing or other options to minimise packet loss during hand-over between network segments, and the implementation of solutions* IP network performance measurement and optimisation* Embedded System and software design & optimisation* Systems Integration and testingElectronics Engineer, RF Engineer, Electronics, RF, Technician, Design, Test, AC/DC, GHz, RFoF, Fibre, Network, EMC, IP, transceiver, software, Newport, Bristol, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Gloucester.
