Job Description

As the Design Engineer you will assist with the design of hydraulic and mechatronic components and systems for Agricultural, Industrial and Construction machinery and vehicles.Client DetailsMy client are an established manufacturing business supplying the automotive industry.DescriptionAs the Design Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Involvement with the design and development of new products, in respect of both possible adaptations of current products and of "zero based" concept design, including significant amounts of time utilising CAD systems (currently Creo).
  • Technical support for global sales efforts in order to provide customers with optimised products specific to their requirements.
  • Involvement as necessary with Project Management of new product introduction process, incorporating DFMEA and PPAP techniques as appropriate.
ProfileAs the Design Engineer you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or associated discipline Previous experience in a similar level role.
  • Experience in using CAD (CREO advantageous).
  • Self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of DFMEA and DVP (Design Validation Plan).
  • Experience with hydraulics/braking systems.
  • Experience with FEA or system modelling and simulation.
