About the company…With over 40 years in the industry, our client have been built a solid brand within their industry and work with some major partners globally. Theyre currently moving into a more agile / automated way of working, involved in major internal and external transformations and helping their clients to maximise every area of their business. Within the security team, they are creating a secure and robust environment where they can protecttheir internal and external users. By bringing the security responsibilities in-house they have controlover how they utilise the security toolkits and are looking for a couple of analysts to maintain the security technologies and the company as a whole.About you…You have a security mindset across multiple functions (vulnerability / patch management, incident response, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection etc) and look to create your own solutions to issues you are facing. Youve got a strong background across multiple operating systems, cloud platforms and technical security toolkits and want to further develop your skills with likeminded individuals. What youll be doing…Youll report into the IT Security Operations Manager, be the line of defence against potential threats and there to remedy any security issue. Youll drive good security through everything you do; whether its configuring IDS/IPS, configuring SIEM tools or just telling Shiela not to click the links in suspicious emails. As well as working on existing architecture, improving security across core services, youll be heavily involved in both internal and external projects; making sure that security is a major consideration in any transformation. What were ideally looking for…* Experience working within a cyber security team utilising a technical skillset.* Ability to work with multiple security products (SIEMs like AlienVault, LogRhythm, Splunk /vulnerability scanners like Nessus, Tenable, Rapid7, Wireshark / IDS and IPS tools like NSFocus, Darktrace, Snort etc) from implementation to configuration and support.* A strong background across endpoint detection, firewall ruling, anti-malware solutions andprotecting against a large infrastructure.* A good level of experience across Windows environments, Azure, core services such as AD, Servers etc and how to secure them properly. * Any certifications (although not essential) within cyber security is always a bonus; think SANs,CISSP, CISM, CompTIA, CEH or AWS Security etcIf youve also got exposure to Linux OS, virtualisation, PKI and encryption thatd be great but if not, dont worry youll get the chance to develop further within the role.
