I am currently recruiting on behalf of a growing business which has a newly created role for a Financial Accountant.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the preparation of the statutory accounts as well as developing the group accounting function.The business is enjoying a period of growth with future expansion plans Internationally via acquisitions. Whilst initially offered as a 69-month fixed term contract, there is the potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.Key responsibilities:Preparation of statutory accounts to tight deadlinesPreparation of consolidated statutory accounts (preferably experience of first-time adoption of IFRS reporting standards)Preparation of tax packs to tight deadlinesExperience of IFRS 15 & 16Balance sheet reconciliationsExperience of preparing group consolidations including intercompany transactions / tradingExperience of acquisition accountingExperience of review/implementation of accounting policy changesExperience of statutory accounts restatementsExperience of bank covenantsYou will ideally be a qualified Accountant ACA or ACCA or have relevant experience in a current role. In addition, you will have Advanced Excel (pivots, sumifs, vlookups essential).This is an excellent opportunity to join this growing Group as it goes from strength to strength.In return, they are offering a competitive salary and benefits package, including a very good pension,bonus and 25 days holiday.
