Job Description

WordPress Developer Newcastle £25,000 - £35,000 An innovative full service digital agency based in Newcastle, have an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack WordPress Developer to join their team on a permanent basis. They WordPress Developer The successful WordPress Developer will have at least 3 years commercial experience, one of which is working on WordPress applications as you will be working on both custom and bespoke applications. The ideal WordPress Developer should be able to demonstrate best coding practices in line with best coding standards, writing clean and reusable code. The successful WordPress Developer will have the opportunity to build a fantastic portfolio as they work with a range of clients across the board from high end clients to SME’s within eCommerce, retail clients, B2B as well as being able to take ownership of projects. The ideal WordPress Developer should come from an agency background or desire to work within an agency as this is a fast-paced role, working on multiple projects in a small team of highly skilled developers.Skills:

  • 2+ years experience
  • Excellent understanding of PHP, including OOP
  • Bespoke WordPress experience
  • Building themes from scratch
  • Working with 3rd party plug-ins and integrations
  • HTML/CSS, including LESS/SASS and JavaScript experience
  • Custom WordPress themes
  • API’s
  • Working closely with the internal marketing and design teams
  • Version controls such as Git
  • Repositories/ GitHub / portfolios must be provided
  • Nice to Haves:
  • Experience working with React.js
  • WooCommerce
