WordPress DesignerNewcastle Upon Tyne£25,000 - £30,000Remote until able to be office basedOur client has a vibrant creative agency based in Newcastle and is now looking for a talented and creative WordPress Designer to join their growing digital team.You will be designing for blue chip clients and providing a creative input in a relaxed and friendly yet professional work environment.You must have a proven track record as a WordPress Designer and able to show a digital portfolioJob DescriptionAs WordPress Designer you will carry out the following duties:• Design, develop and maintain client’s websites.• Specialise in WordPress and create bespoke functionality with Front-End Development• The successful candidate will be working with technologies such as WordPress, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS3 and HTML5As WordPress Designer you will have experience in the following:• Experience of creating responsive WordPress websites from scratch• At least 2 years + experience as a WordPress Designer• Experience of modifying templates• Experience with cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness• Solid understanding of HTML & CSS skills• Experience of working with JavaScript (jQuery)• Understanding of database management and migration (such as MySQL)• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including XD Photoshop & illustrator• Experience of setting up and managing hosting environments• Create design visuals, including sketches, wireframes and design concepts.• Convert design concepts into working websites• Show a portfolio of work, or links to existing websites as proof of ability• Design responsive websites that look great across all devices• Show a portfolio of work, or links to existing websites as proof of ability• Learn new skills and experiment with technologiesIf you are interested in the advertised position for a WordPress Designer, please Register your interest’ through the requested method and we will be in touch shortly with regards to your suitability for the role.
